LINEHAUL PM LEAD DRIVER (INTERNAL PROMOTION)
Slicker Trucking is growing and we couldn’t be more excited about the growth of our team. We are committed and focused on “on-road” best practices, safety & performance and each drivers success. To better manage the quality of our practices within our LH division we are seeking a full time LH Team Lead / Supervisor. This individual will be assigned a terminal group within Slicker Trucking and serve as an additional layer of dispatch support and first response resource to all drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Safe Driving Performance
Willingness to work 6 days when required (standard schedule will be 5 days)
Demonstrates Best Delivery Practices
NEW TASKS & DUTIES
Runs PM/Twilight work as assigned
Assist Drivers identify opportunities to reduce wait time & increase earnings
Serve as first point of contact for LH drivers & LH Offices for changes and issues during Shift
Touch base with AM lead
Physically check on LH drivers during linehaul shift to respond to any issues that arise
Ensure staff is following proper safety protocol at all times
Report any breakdowns or incidents or on route needs to Slicker Management & communicate with DAVE BYERS when incidents occur that will delay service or impacted FedEx operations.
Report any staff needs, concerns or issues immediately.
Report any truck needs, concerns or issues immediately.
Stay in communication with local LH offices to see if there’s additional work/loops, upcoming changes, updates or opportunities are posted on board, any needs or concerns that particular linehaul department may need – communicate immediately to Slicker Management AND DAVE BYERS.
Communicate daily with Slicker Management / maint staff to relay anything that managers need to address from the previous night
Lead driver will be given contact information for all vendors that can respond to breakdowns and emergencies as Slicker Management / Maint recommend.Eventually hand off to manage independently
LYTX COACHING (May be future resource for team leads)
SAFETY & PERFORMANCE
Work with Managers to Identify or communicate any identified or reported safety & performance issues with employees or vehicles.
Remediation training / new hire training
