SLICKER OPERATIONS “MIDI” SUPERVISOR (INTERNAL PROMOTION)

To better manage the quality of our 437 terminal service & driver wellness within our P&D division we are looking to promote a “MIDI” supervisor. 
This is a new and exciting position at Slicker!
This individual will work “MID-DAY SHIFT” and serve as an extension of management, make a daily bulk plan for territory or route group, help coordinate maintenance, and support driver end of day check-in!

SPECIFIC FLEX SHIFT
4 WEEKDAYS “MIDI” SUPPORT - 10:30AM - 6:30PM
SATURDAY DISPATCH - 7:30AM-3:30PM

WEEKDAY “MIDI” DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Arrive at the tail-end of dispatch to help remaining drivers get on the road

  • Assist with any truck, technology or route issues

  • Check-in with other supervisors & management to catch up on daily developments

  • Work with management & leads to make a Bulk & Overflow Plan

  • May Drive daily / delivers assigned driver routes as coverage requires (Call-offs, Bulk, Overflow, New Hire Splits)

  • Helps manage timeliness of time commits & pick-ups

  • Communicates with other local management & team leads throughout the day.

  • Monitors & Manages DSW progress and team lead chat to manage daily workload & driver
    progress. Makes a timely plan to help if needed.

  • Assists with Service Mail / Paperwork (Disputes, 85’s, Service, Complaints)

  • Will report any area driver or territory issues to Slicker Trucking Management

  • Will meet with Slicker Trucking Management regularly to continue to improve delivery
    procedures, route efficiency, truck resources, and driver performance feedback.

  • Assists Safety Manager with Remediation & Training needs

  • Communicates operational needs found at local terminals with executive management.

  • Suggests policies or procedures / changes to better streamline operations.

  • Ability to delegate & Manage Leads

  • Works with PM Maintenance & performs asset Audits (Tires, Lights, Truck Documents, Scanners, ipads)

  • Manages End-of-Day Check in process (Culture, Post-Trip, Service, Driver Wellness, Next Day Planning)

SATURDAY DISPATCH

  • Execute Saturday Dispatch Plan

  • Push Groundcloud Routes as needed

  • Help with Maps & technology

  • Work with management & leads to help drivers load - set everyone up for success

  • Work with management & leads to make a Bulk & Overflow Plan

  • Communicate with terminal management as needed

  • May Drive daily / delivers assigned driver routes as coverage requires (Call-offs, Bulk, Overflow, New Hire Splits)

  • Available for drivers - tows & breakdown support

  • Plan for End of Day returns & technology check in’s (Parked truck, terminal access, etc…)
